Shumsky-Lucas
Mr. and Mrs. George Kaplan of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter. Rachel, to Ken
neth Cohen, son of Dr. and Mrs.
Donald Cohen of Mdwaukee.
Miss Kaplan is a graduate of the
Hebrew Academy and the Yeshiva
High School of Atlanta, and re
cently graduated from the Univer
sity of Pennsylvania with a degree
in mathematics.
Mr. Cohen, a graduate of the
University of Wisconsin at Madi
son, is completing his third year at
the Medical College of Wisconsin
and will do part of his senior year
rotation in Israel.
A July wedding is planned.
Miss Susap Shumsky and Mr.
Ahron Lucas, both of Nashville,
Tenn., announce their engagement.
Miss Shumsky is the daughter of
Mrs. Pearl Shumsky of Spring-
field, Mass. She is a senior claims
examiner for Pacific Financial
Companies.
Mr. Lucas is the son of Mrs.
Mae Brown Lucas of Nashville,
and the late Alex Lucas. He is pro
duction manager for Econo-Copy
Inc., of Nashville.
A Nov. 9 wedding is planned at
Congregation Beth Jacob of At
lanta, after which the couple will
live in Nashville.

Mistaken identity
Last week’s photo identified
as Rachel Kaplan and Kenneth
Cohen was actually that of Sue
Anne Guthman and Robert
Glass, whose wedding an
nouncement appears above this
week with the picture. We regret
the error and extend our apolo
gies to both couples and their
families.
Robert Samuel Glass, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Glass of Tulsa,
Okla.
The ceremony was performed
April 19 at the Sibley Horticultural
Center of Callaway Gardens in
Pine Mountain. Rabbi Alfred
Goodman of Temple Israel in
Columbus officiated.
After a wedding trip to Califor
nia, the couple will live in Tulsa
where the bride is employed by
Williams Natural Gas Company
and the bridegroom is an attorney
with the firm of Gable and Gotwals.

and is a cum laude graduate of the
University of Georgia School of
Law. He is an associate with the
Atlanta law firm of Fine and Block.

bert, son of Jerome and Henrietta
Gilbert of Atlanta.
Ms. Dietz, a graduate of Syra
cuse University, is a copywriter
and account executive for William
Mills Advertising and Marketing
in Atlanta.
The future bridegroom gradu
ated from the University of Geor
gia. He is employed as an indus
trial sales engineer for Durkhopp,
America, based in Atlanta.
A fall wedding is planned.
Alex Gross of Atlanta announ
ces the engagement of his daugh
ter, Stephanie Ann, to Andrew
Greg Kronitz, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Harvey Kronitz of Atlanta.
Miss Gross is the daughter of the
late Linda Gross of Atlanta. She is
the granddaughter of Mrs. Gene
vieve Goldberg of Miami and the
late David Goldberg of Cleveland,
and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugo
Gross of Czechoslovakia.
Mr. Kronitz is the grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kronitz of
Atlanta, Phillip Stone of Miami
and Mrs. Mary Stone of New
York.
The bride-elect graduated from
Henderson High School in Atlanta
and received a bachelor of arts
degree from Mercer University of
Atlanta. The future bridegroom
graduated from Lakeside High
School in Atlanta and received a
bachelor of business administra
tion in finance, with honors, from
Emory University.
Miss Gross is employed by
Wemmers Communications Inc.
of Atlanta. Mr. Kronitz is an ac
count executive with the firm of
