Organizations
Art exhibit and auction
to be held at Beth Jacob
Congregation Beth Jacob will
sponsor an international art exhibit
and auction Sunday, June 1, at the
synagogue. Viewing will be at 6
p.m., with the auction to follow' at
7. The auction is under the direc
tion of Art America, with funds
going to the synagogue’s education
and youth programs.
Admission is $2 a person, or the
purchases of two raffle tickets.
Each guest will receive a catalogue
with the painting number, artist
and title. Purchasers will be given a
certificate of authenticity.
Refreshments will be served and
there will be door prizes in addi
tion to the raffle drawing. For

Atlanta Council BBYO
to have awards night
Atlanta Council BBYO Awards
Night will be held at 8 p.m. Sun
day, June 1, at the AJCC/Zaban.
Outstanding individuals, chapters
and advisors will be recognized.
Awards to be given include the
Eva Feldman BBG of the Year, the
Gate City Lodge Aleph of the Year
and the Mildred and Dutch Ger-
son Adviser of the Year. Chapters
excelling in sportsmanship will also
receive awards. The families of
Sidney Marcus, Frank Fierman,
Louis J. Levitas and Dutch Gerson
will be honored.
Presenting the awards will be
Scott Perlman, Andrea Naterman,
Michael Shattah, Leslie Naterman,
Marni Feinberg, BBYO staff and
members of the adult board. The
community is invited.
A.A. school to graduate nine
Ahavath Achim Synagogue’s Religious School will hold its
graduation exercises following Shabbat service at 8:15 p.m. Fri
day, May 23, at the synagogue.

An Evening with the Stars is the
theme of the Atlanta Region of
WOmen’s American ORT Spring
Installation and Honors Evening
to be held at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

The program will extend special
recognition to supporters of the
Capital Funds, Golden Circle and
to local chapter presidents this past
\ear. Installation chairwomen are
Janet Rush and Sari Lafferty.
