New offices for ORT;
New Year Cards for sale
The Atlanta Region of Women’s
ORT has moved to its new offices
at 1532 Dunwoody Village Park
way, Suite 209, Atlanta, Ga., 30338.

The organization also has ORT
New Year Cards. The cards are
available for a $3.50 donation for a
package of 10, with proceeds to
help ORT’s teacher training and
development program and inter
national network of technical and
vocational schools. All-purpose
cards are also available.

ORT and send to the new office
address.
Beth Shalom to have
open house for parents
Congregation Beth Shalom in
vites all new and prospective mem
bers to Shabbat services and an
Oneg Shabbat at 8 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 29 and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday,
Aug. 30.
The synagogue will also hold an
“Open House Back to School
Night” from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 3. The commu
nity is invited to meet with princi
pal Alan Gonlin and staff, and to
receive an orientation on the cur
riculum, various programs and text
books.

Senior Adults to have
“Fabulous Fall”
1 he Institute for Adult Enrich
ment and AJCC Senior Adult Ser
vices will sponsor “A Fabulous
Fall for You,” a series of three trips
to take place in September and
November.
The first trip will be from Mon
day, Sept. 8, to Friday, Sept. 12, at
Camp Barney Mednitz. The week’s
theme will be “The Challenges Fac
ing Modern Israel,” and will fea
ture Arthur Koll, vice counsel from
Israel, and Itzhak Sordo, director,
Israel Program Center. Other activ
ities include art with AJCC artist-
in-residence Joan Cobitz; a musi
cal extravaganza at the River Pa
lace; and swimming, boating and
fishing. Cost of the trip varies with
accommodations desired. Call the
AJCC for more information.
Trip registration deadline is Aug.
29.
The second trip will be to Calla
way Gardens and the Little White
House, on Tuesday Sept. 23. De
parture time will be 9 a.m., with
return at 6 p.m. Cost of $25 for
AJCC members and $35 for non
members includes lunch and trans
portation. Registration deadline is
Sept. 21.
The third trip, to be held from
Sunday, Nov. 2, to Friday, Nov. 6,
will be a Senior Adult Conclave
hosted by the Jewish Community
Center in New Orleans, with par
ticipants from the Southeast region.
Activities will include a Mississippi
plantation tour, a riverboat cruise
and dinner and a tour of the French
Quarter. There will also be speak
ers from Tulane University. For
