The Atlanta Bureau of Jewish
Education will offer a series of
programs to the Atlanta commun
ity beginning Wednesday, Oct. 15,
through Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Beginning and intermediate
Hebrew reading, beginning, inter
mediate and advanced Hebrew
language, beginning and advanced
yiddish, as well as a new feature,
Haftorah Trope, will highlight the
language department at the AJCC-
Peachtree Branch.

Rabbi Steven Lebow of Temple
Kol Emeth in Marietta will hold
his first session of the Introduction
to Judaism class on Friday,
Sept. 26, from 10-11:15 a.m. at the
Cobb County Public Library at
Merchant’s Walk (near the inter
section of Upper Roswell Road
and Johnson Ferry Road).
The class, which is free and open
to the community, will cover Jew
ish history, philosophy, customs
and holidays.

ing “Bagels and Bull” program on
Sept. 28, at Jackson Creek Club

10:30 a.m. and will include a light

AJCC curtain will rise
on adult acting classes
The Atlanta Jewish Community
Center is offering adult acting
classes led by Lisa Pastorino, pro
fessional actress and instructor.
The class will be geared to indivi
dual abilities and experience. Classes
will start Monday Oct. 6 and run
for eight weeks, ending Dec. 1 (no
class on Oct. 13).
Cost is $40 for AJCC members,
$60for non-members. Call Beverly
