BIG SISTER WATCHES OVER YOU by Madelyn Nix To The Freshmen: Spelman, as an old institu tion, has with her heritage many traditions which have survived the tests of time. These tradi tions go to make up some of the cherished experiences which you will enjoy while at Spel man. Among these traditions is that of the Big Sister - Little Sister relationship. Your big sis ter is, by tradition, a member of the incoming Junior class who will be a part of your life for the next two years after which you will become a big sister. It is your big sister's function to make your first two years at Spelman pleasant and enriching ones — ones which will make you proud to call yourself a Spelmanite. You will find your big sister friendly, co-operative and eager to help. She is available at any time—available for any chore from tutoring to introducing (to the Morehouse men, of course). She is available to listen to your problems and to give advice whenever possible. Don't fail to call on her!
