this is the Christmas that can never come
from the eye of a black boy.
this is the Christmas that can never come
for this is the time that can never end/and
the joy that can never cease/the pain/always felt/
this is the Christmas that can never come/for they will....
never stop/and we will never see.../and they will never/
stop/until/we refuse to do/and/act/and/respond/to their
joyful...celebration.../this is the Christmas that can
never...come ..../for it carries a false hope
enraged with peace and goodwill tarnished by the hand of/
yesterday/but not much longer they say that joy/is bound/
and once unwrapped/this joy can kill even the bullet....
that de tryed my mothers’ mother...and once unbound
this joy can harm the pain of every boys’ sorrow
and once unbound this joy can change every man’s heart
and/and/and/this joy/this joy/no sorrow/no pain/
when this joy come? where does it lie?
No! it must not come until we see
pain...
that grows inside my mother....
that grows inside of me
this Christmas must no come..
this Christmas can not come for it comes....
every year/
every year/it comes and it goes and...it brings joy
and takes joy away...it must not come/
for since i been here it has been,
x-mas

Maybe He’ll Come In The Morning
I was cooling out on the serious
Ashford and Simpson music
it was dismal outside
so I didn’t miss anything
the sun wasn’t shining
“IN THE WORLD”
You
Are what I most
Want
In the world.
You,
And everything that goes
Along with
You.
Because
With you
I smile
And feel good
And I am happy
With you
And want
You
Most in the world.

CAROL OF THE BROWN KING
Of the three Wise Men
Who came to the Brown man,
so they sing.
Of the three Wise Men
Who followed the Star,
One was a brown king
From afar.
They brought fine gifts
Of spices and gold
In jeweled boxes
Of beauty untold.
Unto His humble
Manger they came
And bowed their heads
In Jesus’ name.
Three Wise Men,
One dark like me-
Part of His
Nativity. Langston Hughes
CHRISTMAS GIFT
Well, one Christmas, God was goin’ to Palatka. De Devil was in
de neighborhood too and seen God goin’ long de big road, so he
jumped behind a stump and hid. Not dat he was skeered uh God,
but he wanted to git a Christmas present outa God but he didn’t
wanta give God nothin’.
So he squatted down behind dis stump till God come along and
then he jumped up and said, “Christmas Gift!”
God just looked back over his shoulder and said, “Take de East
Coast,” and kept on walkin’. And dat’s why we got storms and
skeeters-it’s de Devil’s property.

It’s Christmas Day. I did not get
The presents that I hoped for, Yet,
It is not nice to frown or fret.
To frown or fret would not be fair.
My Dad must never know I care

THE TRUE SPIRIT OF CHRIST
MAS
By Angela Benson
“J esus is the answer
for the world today
Above Him there’s no other
J esus is the way.”
These words may have
meaning to more people during
the Christmas season that they do
during any other time of the year.
Christmas is taken to be the birth
of J esus, the Christ. It is
celebrated as such even though
facts have revealed the date to be
incorrect. Each year there are
millions of Christmas plays ex
hibiting the nativity scene.
Lhoirs cannot sing "Away in a
Manger” enough times. But,
when December 25 becomes
yesterday, many people no longer
think of Jesus nor sing of His
birth. Is this the true Christmas
spirit-a thought for a day?
The true spirit of Christmas
can only be found in a personal
relationship with J esus, the
Christ. It can only be found in liv
ing for J esus. It is only found in
committing one’s life to Christ. It
is only found in asking Him to
become the center of one’s life.
This Christmas can be one of
the true Christmas spirit if one
desires it to be. Do you want this
Christmas to be different? Do you
want to experience the true spirit
of Christmas? Read this prayer:
Lord J esus, I need you. I know
that I am a
sinner and I thank you for dying
on the cross
for my sins. Right now, I open
the door of my
life to you and receive you as my
Lord and
Savior. Take control of my life.
Help me to
live for you. Become the center
of my life.
Make me the kind of person you
want me to be.
If this prayer expresses the desire
of your heart, tell Jesus right
now. He is not out to play games
with you. He will indeed become
a part of your life, for He has said
so:
“Behold, I stand at the door
and knock. If
any man hear my voice and
opens the door, I
I will come in to him and sup
with him, and he
with me.”
If you have prayed the prayer,
you are now a member of the
family of Christ. Tell someone
that you know is a Christian what
has happened in your life. You
now have the true spirit of Christ
mas living within you.
If you did not pray the prayer,
remember:
“J esus is the answer
for the world today
Above Him there’s no other
Jesus is the way.”
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
IOY
Don’t hold back!...
I see it coming strong...
Let it in,
Beside.
And behind you,
For the feeling doesn’t last too long.
You’ve got to grab it,
Know it,
Release it,...
And allow its echo to carry you along.
For you see.
All it is:
is/a/simple/mellow/beat,
touching you/and carressing you...
like the slow/soft melodies found in
a song..:.
