to learn that in every instance they have been
repulsed.

At a supper given to Premiss, one of the

than the Northern article can be sold, for the mer
chant to make any tiling by bringing it out. In of.
faring iny goods to the Public I stand ple.'.geu lo fur
nish as Jinc, as handsome, and as i>oou an article as
can be procured from the North, or any other quar
ter. .My nankeens are ail manufactured from strict,
ly prime, deep coloured nankeen cotton, grown iu
tlie neighboring counties, and it is a known fact that
t*10 g'-ods will not tude, hy washing. My goods aro
32 inches wide, and are pul up in cuts of thirty yards
and upwards to the piece, by winch the liability to
remnants, in retailing, is greatly less than happens
to the Northern mode of putting it up in pieces of
10J yards only. As I shall have iy the middle of
April a stock eti hand sufficient to supply all that
will he probably wanted the coming season, for the
greater part, il not ali the populous counties in this
State, I felt it'duu to merchants in Georgia, as well
as to myself, to make these facts known to them oe.
fore they go to tiie North to lay in their spring sup.
plies, thaHhey may bo the heller prepared to act ad.
visedly so far as concerns the article of nankeens.—
Besices, it is but lair that the Southern people patron
ize their own industry and take care of tiieir own do
inestic institutions rather than bo tributary to the
North for articles that can be had at home, on at least
as good terms, and of as good quality. I solicit tiie
Patronage of Georgians, to give me a home market
for my fabrics, with assurances on iny part, that they
shall always !ie generously and justly dealt by. 1
keep also, at all times, by mo, a Large supply of cot.
ton yarns, spun from prime white cotton, and-put up
in Bales of240 lbs. each, embracing in suitable pro
portions nil tlie different Nos. thut are in demand, ai»J
can supply orders to any extent, at a moment’s war
ning, and on as good terms as it can be had, any
where in this State. Also cotton Oznahurgs 32 in

to the Public, that my wool cards are now in opera
tion, in first rate order, and that carding of wool for
country customers is done at Princeton Factory, in
the best mariner, and with promptness ar d despatch.
My woollen machinery is extensive, and I expect du
ring summer to manufacture a fine article of Ken
tucky Jeans, for tho fall marko', of which further no
tice will lie given in time. For all goods, and yarns
of my manufacture, I take prime cotton in exchange,
either the white, or the nankeen, at the Augusta j»ri
