tlo; tho crucible is now briskly stirred
for half an hour, so ns to mix it thor

small grains by throwing it on tho sur
face and stirring it tilt it is entirely fus

the fusion maintained for about thirty-
five minutes. Tho mu fore is then skim
med ami tho alloy is ready fur . casting.
Tlio fineness «>f grain in this alloy gi ves

a delicacy and a purity of Uutail that
cannot be obtained IVom bronze. Tho
alloy is essentially ductile and mallea
ble, and can l.n cast, rolled, drawn,
stamped, chased, beaten into a powder,
or leaves, or treated in any oilier way
the artisan limy desire. Tho discovery
of this now alloy is really wondcrtlil,
and its use will have a tendency to place
within tho reach of all the useful, orna
mental, and higher products of art.
