hands, together with the boat, one 32
pounder rifled Parrot, two 32 smooth
bores, and two 12 pounder guns.—The
boat wus badly damaged. The report
of the engagement was distinctly heard
ut Hrashear City.
Geli. Weitzel, commanding, imme
diately sent the gunboat Calhoun to
assist tlio Diana, but having no pilot
she grotindod, and came near sharing
the same fate. A south wind raised
tlio water and releasod thu Calhoun.
