He waa afraid to go up to him and started to go back in the yard when the robber covered him with hi* ' pistol and ordered him to come td him. which be did promptly. The robber then isked him If he had not been sell ing some good* and wanted to know where the money wr.s. On being told thet the money had been turned over to the store he went through the no ' pro's pockets and let him go. Ed went to several other houses and as he was 1 on his way back to the store on a hack 'street he waa ordered to stop again, but this time he put whip to his horse at once. I-ater he was out with other goods and was ordered to stop again, but this time he had his pistol ready and fired at tbe would-be robber. This frightened the berse and he ran off. Mrs. C. H.
