Carmen Well Played.
A large crowd was present at the I
Casino Monday night, despite the
threatening aspect of the weather
Those who were at the opening per
formance of the Gardner Vincent
Stock company saw a good show in
every sense of the word The acting
was good, the play was well staged
and the costuming was very pretty.
"Carmen without a good "Carmen" Is
a failure, but Miss Vincent is one of
the best emotional actresses ever
seen In Augusta. At the most diffi

she made such a hit with the audi
