its nature is calculated to corrupt and vi
tiate the heart.

state, advancing steadily in literary, benev

fill and enrich our pages, we trust that

stating, Unit being possessed of a deed
of conveyance signed by Isaac Weldon for
218 acres of land in Columbia county, bear
ing date the ——day of December, 1812,
a copy whereof as near as the petitioner
could recollect, is annexed to the s.id po
lllion, it now lodged in the Clerk’s Office,
together with an affidavit pursuant to the
act of the 22d of February, 1785, that the
said dee was lust or destroyed, and pray

other circumstantial proof being laid be
