BOSTON, January 24.
By the Jofcph, capt. Southworch, which
arrived late yefterdary in 46 days from Li
verpool, we have London papers to Decem
ber 5, 1806, nearly a month later than be
fore received.
The French Grand Army Bulletins are
from No. 22, to ji, The lath is dated
Beilin, November 12, iBoi. They Con
tain particular, but doabtlcfs exaggerated
accounts of the daily defeats of the fngitive
corps of (be Prussian array. That under the
Commander in Chfcf, Prince Hohenlohe,
(1 6,00a capitulated, near Stettin the 19th
Octooer : Thai unde# general Bulcher, aifo
i6,d00 llrong, furrendcred at Schwarten,
near Lubtck, the 7 th November, Stettin on
the O ter, with a 6000 girrifon, capitula
ted the iail of QJlober ; and the important
fortrefs of Magdeburg, with twenty gene
rals, eight hundred officers, 22,000 men,
with immense military (lores, fell on the e
levcnth of November. Bdides these there
were daily captures of detachvd corps, mere
or less strong, Every thing Prussian to the
W. and S. of the Oder, had been taken ;
and the 31st Bulletin gives the totals of the
campaign to be 140,000 prisoners, 250 co
lours, 800 and 403 battering ar
tillery, Added to this, the French foidiers
had acquired great booty ; and the Emperor
Napoleon had ordered a contribution of One
hundred and Jiffy Millions of francs (about
28,000,000 dollars) to be levied on Prussia
and her allies!
At the fall date, the French H. were
at Berlin. The advanced column, under
Davonh, and Prince Dambrolki, were at
Pofen (or Pofilri) in Poland, with its left at
Thorn, on the Villula; while parties arc
said to have explored as far as Dantzick, on
the Baltic. The bulletins fay, the French
were every where received with joy by the
Poles, who h iddifarmcdfevcral Prussian gar.
rilons ; and the rc.cftablifhmcnt of the King
dom of Poland, was avowed. Prince Je
rome, with the Bavarians, &c, was in Si
lesia.
Every mcafure indicated Bonaparte’s fix
ed determination to annihilate the Prussian
dynasty. Gen. Clark had been appointed
Governor of Prussia provisionally and all the
forfrertes from Erfurth to Stettin were to
be strengthened, for future fafety. The
King of Prussia had parted the Oder, with
about 15,000 men; and was supposed to be
making for Konigfburg, the old capital of
his Kingdom.
NATCHEZ, January 27.
His Excellency ROBERT WILLIAMS,
Governor of this Territory, with his Fami
ly, arrived in this City yesterday-.-all in
good health.
Col. Burr has entered into a recogni
zance of 10,000 dollars, to appear before
the Supreme Court, which will commence
an extra session on Monday next. Lyman
Harding, Esq., and Col. B. Ofmun, we
understand, v'ere his two securities.
Comfort Tyler, Esq. Blennrrh after, and
fcveral other diflinguilhcd charaflers, have
lately arived in this Territory. Eight or
ten boats have lately arrived at Baym
Pierre, making the whole number supposed
to be under the direflion of Col. Burr,
amount to thirteen. There are no troops
on board, we understand, and not more
than 40 or 50 persons,
Since the above was composed, we have
understood that this “ formidable flotilla"
has dropped down as low as the mouth of
Cole's Creek.
COLONEL BURR.
We have been also favored wiih an ac
count of the nature of the expediton which
colonel Burr is said to have explained to
forne of his party. It perhaps may be
thought improper that we (hould give it
to the public, as its publicity may render
the plan, abortive, which all must confefs is
. not only a legal one, but highly advanta.
gcous to this country. The date of the
public mind however is at present so ex
afprrated eg*hft Burr, that we deem it
proper, let tl*e consequences be what they
may, to reveal it. Colonel Burr is said to
be employed by the Court of Spain, to re.
move the whole of the Spanish treasury at
Vera Cruz in Mexico, which is eftimafed
at one hundred and fifty million of dollars
to the United States : there to be kept at
the disposal of his Catholic Majesty, until
