in tlie employ of thc Illinois Central railroad
at tills place saw a man oil an engine that
had steam up standing on the track ready
to go out. The yard-inaster accosted him

replied by knocking down the yard-master,
running the engiue out on the main track,
and starting northward in a ten irtie rate of
