on the first Tuesday in April next.—
l’liis land lies a few miles below the
Reserve, on the Ocmulgee river, and
persons wishing to establish a perma
nent interest in the town of Macon,
would do well to attend the sale. A
credit will he given until the 25th De
cember next, and good security requi
red. There are two squares of oak
and hickory land, with one hundred
and fifty acres cleared—one square of
pine land with forty acres cleared,and
one square of Ocmulgee low grounds
with forty acres cleared, with a good
framed dwelling house and other buil
dings on the pine tract.
All the above tracts are adjoining,
and would make a fine settlement.

Whereas, it is desirable to ascer 1
tain the wishes of the citizens of this
state as to the mode of clinging Elec
tors of President and Vice-President
of the United .States.
lie il therefore resolved by the Senate
and House of Representatives of the
State of Georgia, in General Assembly
met, That it shall be the duty of the
magistrates who shall preside at the
several elections to be held in the dif
ferent counties of this state for the
choice of members of the Legislatue,
at the next general election therein, to
propose to each and every voter, at the
time of receiving his vote, whether ho
desires that the choice of said Electors
shall lie confined to the people or re
tained by the Legislature, and to re
quest supli voter to signify such desire
by endorsing on his ticket the word
Teopte or Legislature, according to
the truth of the fact; and, on counting
out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said electiqn by them so trans
mitted to the Executive department,n
true statement of the votes so given, to
the end that the same may be laid be
fore the next Legislature by his excel
lency the Governor.
And belt farther resolved, That his
excellency the Governor be and lie is
hereby requested to cause this resolu .
tion to be published without delay in
the several gazette of this state, and to
continue the said publication once a
month until the next general election.
