district of said county, containing two
hundied two and a half acre* each, to
secure the payment of a promisory
note in writing, drawn by said Bailey
in faorof the said C. YV. Rockwell &
Cos. ‘jraring date on the said ninth day
of January, and due on the first day of
February then next, for the sum of six
teen hundred and seventy nine dollars
anil eighty three cents, by the fifteenth
day of August last, and that no part of
said note has been paid. It is therefore
by the court ordered, That the princi
pal and interest due on said mortgage
and costs, be paid into this Court within
twelve months fiom this date: and un
less the said principal, interest, and
costs bo so paid, this Court will give
judgment for the amount which may be
due on such mortgage, aud order the
property mortgaged to be sold in such
manner as is prescribed in cases of Ex
ecution, ami the money shall be paid to
the mortgagee or his attorney. And it
is further ordered, That this rule be
published in one of the public Cnzettes
of this State, at least once in every
month for six months, or serve on the
mortgager or his special agent, at least
three months previous to the time the
money is directed to be paid.

gislature ol this State, passed on the
twenty-fourth day of December, in the
year one thousand eight hundred and
twenty-seven, to lay out a trailing town,
and dispose of all the lands reserved for
the use of the state, near the Coweta Palis
on the Chatlalioochie river —W ill be sold
in the
TOWN OF COLUIWBUS.
On Thursday, the 10/A of July next,
SIX HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN
BUILDING LOTS, of half an acre
each, in the plan of said town ;
Twenty-five Gardening laits of ten
acres each, on the North East and South
of the square reserved for the town and
common, and adjoining the same.—
Twenty Lots of twenty acres each—se
venty-eight lots of one hundred acres
each, and thirty-one fractional parts of
i survey.
The loeal advantages of this town—
the. rich and extensive back country it
has already at command, and the in
creasing importance it will derive from
the cession of the lands on the west of
the Chattalioochie river, will insure to it
I * degree of commercial importance not
* surpassed by any other town in Georgia.
The toiyn is situated on the east side of
the river, immediately below Die falls,
, which admits of a safe and convenient
navigation for steam-boats from thence
to Apalachicola Bay.
Terms will be, one-fifth of the pur
chase money in rash or current bills of
chartered Banks of this state—the ha
lance in four equal annual instalments.
The sale will commence on the day
above mentioned, and w ill lie continued

Delpha Dennis, twenty four years old,
