FREIGHTING LINE,
Between Macon , Savannah and
Charleston.
Undersigned has procured a
_H- Steam-Boat, (the North-Caroli
na) to run between Macon, Savannah,
and Charleston, during the approaching
bunting season. The North Carolina is
a staunch) good boat, has recently un
dergone a thorough repair, and is excel
led by few in speed. She w ill take freight
to and from either place. From her con
struction and easy chaft of water, it is
believed she will meet with no difficulty
in coming to Mavon whenever the river is
at its ordinary boating height. W hen
it is not in such a state as to admit of
; her reaching Macon, she will be met
w ith such lighters as will have no diffi
culty in getting up—so that merchan
dise shipped by her will not be detained
on the river, on account of low water.—
There is no doubt that by this a r range -
i ment, the space of time heretofore con
j sinned in transporting merchandize he
j tween Ma'don and those places will lie
J shortened at hast one half— and as no
| exertions will be spared to make a safe
and expeditious inode of transportation,
it is therefore hoped and expected, that
those desirous of seeing so desirable an
object effected, and particularly those
interested in the prosperity Os Mauin,
will patronise this undertaking. The
