na) to run between Macon, Savannah,
nnd Charleston, during the approaching
boating season, The North (’arolina is
a staunch, good boat, has recentlv un
dergone a thorough repair, and is excel
led by few in speed. She w ill take freight
to and from either place. From Iter con
struction and easy draft of water, if is
believed she w ill meet with no difficult}
itt coniine to Mai-on whenever the river is
at its ordinary hooting height. When
it is trot in such a state as to admit of
her reaching Macon, she wiil be met
with such lighters as will have no dilii
culty in getting*up—so that merchan
dise shipped by her will not be detained
on the river, on account of low water.—
There is no doubt that by this arrange
ment, the space Os time heretofore ('(Mi
stimed in transporting merchandize lie
tween Macon and those places will be \
j shortened at least one half— and ns no i
exertions will be sparfed to make a *ijt\
and expeditions mode of transportation, I
it is therefore hoped and expected, that
those desirous of seeing so desirable an
object effected, and particularly those
interested in the prosperity of Macon,
will patronise this undertaking. The
Nortft-Carolina will leave Charleston
on her first trip, about the first Novem
ber. 11. W. Conner, Esq. will net as
agent in Charleston, and Messrs. Tito,
tnus Butler Sc Cos. in Savannah.
