mni? undersigned has procured a
G_ Stenni-iloat, (the North-Uaroli
ii i) to mn between Macon, Savannah,
and Charleston, during the approaching
boating season. The North Carolina is
a staunch, good boat, has recently un
dergone u thorough repair, and is excel
led by few i,i speed. She will take freight
to and fmin either place, f rorn her con
struction and easy draft of water, it is
believed “he will meet with no difficulty
in coming to Xlavon iSutuver the river is
at its ordinary boating height. When
it is not in such a state as to admit of
her reaching Macon, slid w ill he met
with such lighters as will have no diffi
culty in getting up—so that merchan
dise shipped by ber will not be detained
oil the river, on account of low water. —
There is no doubt that by this arrange
ment, the space of time heretofore con
sumed in transporting merchandize be
tween Macon and those places will be
shortened at Inst one half— and ns no
exertions will be spared to make a safe
ands ipeditioHS mode of transportation,
it is therefore hoped and expected, that
those desirous of seeing so desirable nn
object effected, and particularly those
interested in the prosperity id’ Macon,
will patronise this undertaking. The
Nortii'-Carolina will leave Charleston
on her first trip, about the first Novem
