Between Macon, Savannah and
Charleston.
FBXHE unde signed has procured a
JL Steam-Boat, (the Norlb-Caroli
-11a) to run between Macon, Savannah,
and Charleston, during the approaching
boating season. The North Carolina is
a staunch, good boat, has recently un
dergone a thorough repair, and is excel
led by few in speed. She will take freight
to and from either place. Fioin her con
struction and easy diaft of water, it is
believed she w ill meet with no difficulty
in coming to Much iciu rr ,'ir the liver
at its ordinary iiocii.nr height. When
it is not in such a state as to admit of
her reaching P.lacon, she w ill he met
with such lighters as will have no dii’i
> ulty in getting up—o that merchan
dise shipped by her will not he detained
011 the river, 011 account ol low water.—
There is no doubt that by this arrange*
inent, the space of time heretofore con
sumed in trail potting nierebamlizf 1 -
tween Macon and those places will be
shortened at least one half— and as no
exertions will be spared to make a safe
and expeditious mode of transportation,
it is therefore hoped and expected, that
those desirous of seeing so desirable an
object etfected, and particularly those
interested in the prosperity of Macon,
will patronise this undertaking. The
North-Carolina will leave Charleston
on her first trip, about the first Novem
ber. 11. W. Conner, Esq. will act as
agent in Charleston, and Messrs. TIIO.
mas Butler & Cos. in Savannah.
