the same depth can be carried within six miles of Darien,
tliiifecn feet can he carried up lothc city. The anchor
age for Dohov Sound and River is particularly safe and
good, with ample room for vessels to carry off the whole
Cotton crops coming down the rivers to Darien.

thing of the kind which has hitherto been introduced into

; The castings, it will be readily conceived, give addi
! tional strength, durability and permanency to the ma
chines, and remove the probability of their getting out of
order from shrinking, swelling, or warning, as is some
times the case with wood. The subscriber has been en
gaged in the business ut this place for nearlv five years,
nnd in the course of that time, although he has not been
able to supply half the demand, he has sold in this vicin
ity, machines to the amount of upwards of $50, 00O—near-
ly all of which have given entire satisfaction. Hundreds
of certificates might ho given as to testimonials of the util
ity and workmanship of his machines, but he deems it
unnecessary, as lie relies entirely upon their perform
ance, to do away with any prejudice which may exist in
reference to them.
Machines will hereafter he delivered agreeably to or
der, at Columbus, Mis. Columbus, On. Macon, fin. We
