vicinity where it has been sold, llut no ei'.ort lias ever before

the press, li has bten left to work its way silently by iu own
intrinsic merits, and lo depend for its celebrity upon actual

of these, and the high andjiint reputation wliieh it lihn thus

Colds, Coughs. Astln la, lufluen/. i,Whooping Cough,Croup,
Worms, Hemorrhage (or raising of blood,) and the whole class
of diseases affecting the breast and lungs, tending to consump
tion, and other kindred diseases, are controlled by it as by a
charm. These complaints are of a most insidious character.
They commence with a slight cold, or with some trilling ail

and alowly advance, step b> step, until the constitution gins

important. A timely’ use of it has saved and will save thou
sands from the pains of protracted ilimns, from beds of lan

even from death itself. The trifling sum paid for a bottle of

Physicians, medical men.and philosophers, have all agreed
that nature has prepared a remedy for every disease. A little
reflection must convince every one of the truth of this remark.
Dr. Spencer’s Pills are a vegetable rtinedy, and all powerful
in removing disease. They may be taken with impunity, at

debilitating effects consequent on taking other medicines

August 17tl, 1844.
This is to certify, that I have been afflicted w ith Sick Head
ache, I)\spepsia, and Livercomplaint, and Costiveness for the
last eight or nine years, during which time 1 had taken, a*
well as I recollect, about sixty boxes of Beckwith’s Pills,
twelve boxes of Peters’ Pills, and a number of boxes of Chain
pion's and Brand ref h’s Pill*, all of which afforded me but
little or no relief. At list, I was recommended to try Doctor
Spencer's Vegetable Pills, and well I did; for I never had but
one attack of the Sick Headache afit r 1 commenced taking
the Pills, (now about six months,)and I candidly confess, that
I derived more real benefit from the use of Spend r’s Pills,
than from all the other Medicines and Pills that 1 have ever
taken, ami I would earnestly recommend them to all, as being
in my opinion the best medicine in use for all ling* ring com
plaints. The Pills have done me so much good, that 1 would
not feel willing to Ik- without them for five dollars a box : ar.tl i
I cannot but fee! very gratiful to Dr. Spencer for having pre- !
pared such a valuable medicine, and the distribution of it is ,
conferring a very great favor on the public, as it is a thing of ‘
the utmost importance that every family should have asupply
Doctor Spencer’s truly valuable PilU eoimly on hand.
