of Hrprescntatitcn of the Stale of G*orgin, in
Annrmbhj met , and i’ in hereby enacted by the authority
of the natnr, ‘Flint whenever lids net tdiall have passed
in accordance with the requirement* of the Cmietitu
tion of this State, the fc!lt w ing pb I! be adopted in lieu
of the paid seventh section :—Each county of this State
shall have one Re^prrtentative, and no county shall
have mo*** than two Representatives. Thirty-seven
counties hm ing the greatest population, counting ell
free w bite persons and three-fifths of the people of color,
shall have two Representatives—and if eny new county
shall be he render formed, said new county shall be en
titled to one lieffrcsentHtive, nnd the apportionment
shall be made by the General at the session
at which this section shall be adopted as an alteration
of the Constitution, by an act to be introduced after the
adoption thereof, and u n w apportionment shall bo
made at the session next alter each future enumeration
of the inhabitants of thi* State, made under the Consti
tution and fuws thereof, but at no other time.
