J HAY F. this day witnessed the administration of MOR-
M TON’S LKTHEON, to a friend of mine, and under its in
fluence a large eye tooth was extracted by Dr. PUTNAM, with
out the least pain. I then took chair and reqaestsd to
have the gass administered to myself. It was accordingly
