A treaty was concluded at lli place, on the 30th ult. by His Excel lency William Henry Harrison, go vernor of the Indiana Territory, and Commissioner on the part of the U- nited States with the lMiamies, Po- tawatiinies, and Eel River tribes ot Indians ; by w hich they have ceded to the United States a tract ol land on both sides ol the Wabash river, extending from d\e laud \verv.uU'orv owned by the United States around Vincennes, up to within twelve mile f the mouth of Vermilion river. They also ceded by the same treaty a tract of twelve miles wide, extend ing along the former boundary line, established by the treaty of Green ville, as high up as Fort Recovery. The foregoing cessions are com puted at 2,600,000 acres, and con tain some of the finest land in the United States. STOLEN from me about the 12//; of Nov. 1807 a negro man slave, named CLESAR, the property of the subscriber ; he is about 6 feet high, one of his big toes is very remarkable, being split with an axe through the nail and nearly as high as the second joint, by that, it is much broader and larger than the other, he was accustomed to run James River above the falls, I was 1 * informed lately that he was sold in some part of the State of Georgia or Carolina, on delivering him to me or securing him in some jail so that I get him again, shall be paid the above > reward.
