John Clary, had been elected a mem
ber of the house of commons from
the county of Pasquotank. He was
much opposed at the time of the e-
lection, on afccount of a crime alledg-
ed against hint, of a nature too inde

mons, conceived that body degraded

tion expelled him ; of course a writ

strange to relate, he was re-elected
and appeared again in the house on

been recently perpetrated in this ci
