ing terms; and that sealed proposals, as lo tiie amount cf tho
bids, he received at this Department, till the 1st of iMurcb,

viz:
I. No hid will bp considered which does not offer n sninot
least equal to one million of dollars and all expenditures by the
State since 22d day of December, 1843.
2. The sum of $3(18,080 shall be pnid by (lie purrhaKr

of his bid. The remainder shall be paid after the expiration
of twenty five years, or sooner, at the option ofthe juin-haoer,

3. In uddition lo the above sum of $380,000, the purchaser

tracts ofthe State for iron, timber, grading, and every other
matter or thing connected with ihe Rond, which t>
progress of execution, so that no charge or claim may la-here

the Road from Murthnsville to Burroughs’, opposite to Cbm*
ville on or before the first dny of November, 1845—lo the

time as the Legislature may grant.
6. The purchase shall be limited in freight and pnssags
money to the sume rates as prescribed in the Act of 1843,
providing for the salo of suid Road, except iu cases ol war or
civil commotion, when tlm transportation ol soldiers ami mu
nitions of wur shall he reduced 50 per cent, below customifj

7. Tho purchaser shall give equal privileges nnd fscihtiM
to (he Monroe Rail Rond and the Georgia Rail Read ('ouiin*
