1. No bid will be considered which dooa not offer a sum at
least equal luonc million ot dollars nud all expenditures hy the
State since 22d day of December. 1843.
2. The sum of $300,000 shall be paid by the purclioser
within thirty daysultcr lie shall he notified of the acceptance
ofhishid. The remainder ahull be paid after the expirution
of twenty-five years, or sooner, ut the option ofthe purchaser,
with lire six percent. Bonds of the State, and shall hear an in
terest at the rate of six per centum per annum, puyahle semi*

3. In addition to the above hiiiii of $300,000, the purchaser
shall, at the period aforesaid, reimburse the Slate »he umouni
expended on the Road since the 22d of December, 1843.

tructs of the State for iron, timber, grading, mid eveiy other
matter or thing connected with the Road, which urn now ir
progiess of execution, so that no cliurgc or claim may he. Imre
after made against tho State for or on uccount ofsnid Road.
5. 'The purchaser shall nut mid keep in complete operation
the Road from Marthasvillo to Burroughs’, opposite to Cuss-
ville on or before tlm firm day of November, 1815—to tho
Oiistanaulec River on the firsi of October 1816— to Cross
Plains on the first of September, 1817—mid to the Tennessee
River on or before the liisl ofSeplember, 1851, or such other
time iis the Legislature may grunt.
6. The purchase shall he limited in freight nnd pnssage
