A T a meeting of the Board of Managers of the Georgia
State Lottery for the benefit of the “Masonic Or
phans Home," July lfith, 1807, the following resolutions
were passed:
Retolvtdy That the Managers advertise for proposals
for the purchase or donation of TWENTY AGUES OF
LAND In the vicinity of Atlanta, for the purpose of erect
ing thereon a MASONIC ORPHANS’ HOME—said pro
posals to be submitted to the Board of Managers by the
fourth day of September next. Thu title will be vested
in the Grand Lodge of the State of Georgia, or such other
Masonic Lodge iu the State as will accept the same,
should the Grand Lodge decline the trust.
Resolved, further, That the Board will pav $fi00
for the Draft of a Granite Building for tho “Masonic
Orphans'Horae,” to be submitted to the Board by the
nr.'*t day of November uext: the said plan to be sodfrawn
as that the building can be commeucetl with an expendi
ture of fifty thousand dollars, during the first year, aud
that the same may he extended from year to year, with
out destroying the symmetry of the architecture. The
above named sum of five hundred dollars to be paid for
the plan which the Board of Manage* s shall select from
the number presented.

DIRECTIONS - FOR USE.
Lot the Machine down into a common wash tub, hv
caning notches into the sides, for the journal* to rest in
until it comes within one iuch of the bottom of the tub -
fill with hot water until the water cover* the pebbles lii
the machine two Inches; wet the clothes in warm water
(It i* bolter to soak elothc* over night.) then rub a little
soft eoap ou all the dirty places; then put the clothes
into the machine with the pebbles, and always dll the ma

and then hang out to dry. Never turn the machine when
empty of clothes, as it breaks the sloues. It any of the
pebbles become broken, pick them out.
