The riynod ot Georgia and Florida met at the
First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday even
ing, at 7 o'clock, and the opening sermon was
preached by Rev. D. Wills, D. D., of Macon (
from John xvi. 88. The church was Crowded
with a large congregation, besides the delegates
in attendance, and the discourse was a very able
exposition of the Scripture doctrine of “tribula
tion as a means of grace and final happiness.”
