the irregularity Will be overlooked. Wo are
ioM that the delegation trout the Savannah
|t .nici re.idled here yesterday morning, and
were met at the depot by enthusiastic “yah
vali.and glittering rows ol ivories; while
mi every hand were propositions to carry “dc
carpet hag." The lion, gentlemen Irom the
..’(Vinner district”—the immortal Eleventh—are
at hand upon the arrival ot every irulu to greet
tln-ir brethren. In several instances the meet'
ir.s have been otu most effecting character, the
cr ai duty hetorc them, ot making a Constilu
pon lor Georgia, not coming lully bctorc them
mud the scene ol iheir labors was reached.—
Meantime, as two days iuterVeue before the time
ol meeting, concusses are being held, and nmuy
scheme* are ou toot. Wo hear ot considerable
wire pulling among those who have “axes to
grind,” while "do ’publican party" and the
great interests at stake, are being intelligently
discussed in the hack lanes and up dark allcyi
Yesterday there was a grand convocation in the
city ol tire “ heavy coon dogs " ol all of the Un
ion League, in the S-tate, but ot course the world
w in be none the wiser yet awhile ot what traus
pins for the good of our great State by the flick
er ol its dark lanterns, llut they will act in uoi
- m with the Convention, or perhaps tlx up hus-
iutt. for it. Hut rumor has it that areal hrslion
lias started up in tile patli ol the great Aftlcauia
id party, and may bile somebody. It has been
suggested that tire great Shcrnmu-Shcllubarger
bill does not authorize the election to seats in the
Convention of the Hon. gentlemen ot African
descent, or rather that their election is illegal,
according to that bill. And it Is further suggest
ed that an etiort will be made to prevent them
taking their seals, but whether or not this will
certainly be done, we are not advised. It did
not matter about the legality of colored delegates
until ii was discovered that the" menagerie” at
Montgomery was doing " incalculable iujury,”
and that the Major General commanding was
unable to control the animals. Suffice it, that
this legal question has beer, discussed “at court,"
and the opinion ol several gentlemen sought and
obtained. We are very much ol the opinion
that things are not working exactly to the liking
ol “de publican party.” Hut the curtain will
soon roll up and we shall see.

I'llK. Savannah It j'aljlu'iiii says:
Wants to Himc wmi Hradley.—We are
inlbrined that n day or two since one ot the
prominent delegates to the Convention culled
upon the President ol ihe Central Itailroad and
asked of him that Mister Hradley be allowed to
travel in the car with the whiles to Atlanta. The
President returned answer that .Witter Hradley
could travel where he belonged—in the car with
people ol his own race—but that if the delegate
was particularly anxious to ride in company
with ili*ti r Bradley, a separate car would lie put
on the road, into which tho whole menagerie
c.»uld go. We trust the latter accommodation
will lie granted, and that the whiles (so-called)
will not lor an instant be separated Irom their
black idol (or idle) Bradley, the August Hand
s', aver and Muguiflceut Waulioo. It is proper
that those anxious for social as well as political
equality should keep it to themselves, and not he
alio.veil to thrust it upon tiiose to whom it is re
voking. So Minler Bradley will not be allowed
to travel to the Convention in company with
white people. Alas for the mutability of human
hopes!
Tin: Hon. Mr. Bradley has rcuched the city in
safety, and was prominent upon our streets yes-
ter, lav, hut we are not apprised as to how the lit
tle m itter ot riding in the railway coach was ad 1
