r showeth, that he holds in his own proper right, a
Mortgage Deed made and executed by.one John But
hr, on the twentieth day of October, eighteen hun
dred and twenty-three, to Lot of Land number one
Isndred and twenty-seven, in the fourteenth district
[araid county, for the better securing the payment of
t*o Promissory Notes, one of which is for the sum of
thirty dollars, and due one day after date, and dated
« the second day of July, eighteen hundred and
ttfenty-fhree; the other for twenty dollars, due one
tty alter date, and dated on the 20tb day of October,
«f the same year—whicli said promissory notes ore
still unpaid, and in consequence thereof your peti
tioner prays to have said mortgage deed as aforesaid
tarred and foreclosed. IFhcreupon it is ordered, that
the said John Butler,within the term of twelve months
do pay into the hands of the Clerk of this court, the
amount of the principal and interest due on said notes,
orthat the equity of redemption to said lot of land be
forever barred and foreclosed; and that a copy of
this rule be served upon him the said John Butler, at
least sis months before the money is directed to be
paid, if to be found, or published in one of the public
gazettes of this state once n month for twelve months.

SPRINGS.
Hf)HE Subscriber having taken the TAVERN
-1L BUILDINGS, formerly occupied by Col. Haley
at tbe Indian Springs, is nuw prepared to entertain
Travellers and Visiters.
Asa place of fashionable resort, either tor health or
amusement, the Indian Springs stand unrivalled by
any similar place in tbe state. Tbe waters have ac
quired a deserved celebrity in tbe prevention end cure
of diseases, as will be attested by many thousand)
who bave visited the place and witnessed their medi
cinal virtues. The country immediately surrounding
the Soring) is healthy and romantic; and, from tbe
number and respectability of the company who annu
ally visit the Springs, will be found an agreeable as
well as healthful residence, during the summer
months.’
The Buildings have undergone a thorough repair,
and extensive arrangements are made and making by
the present occupant, for tbe accommodation of all
who may visit the place. Ilis charges will he moder
ate, and his fare as good as the country will afford;
and he hopes, from the pains taken ana the expense
incurred, to be able to give general satisfaction.

December, in the year eighteen hundred and twenty,
sir, make, execute and deliver to your petitioner,(Am
gustin B. Pope,) his certain mortgage deed for a cer-
tain lot or tract of Land, known and distinguished by
lot or fraction (53) fifty-three, in the fourth district of
tie county of IValton, containing eighty acres, more
or less, which mortgage was given for the better secur
iagtlie payment of a promissory note, bearing oven
cate with the said mortgage deed, subscribed with the
wvn proper handwriting of the said Samuel Green,
Bade payable and delivered (by the said Samuel
Green,) to your petitioner, (Augustin B. Pope,) in the
■*ords following, (to wit:) On or before the (25th)
bwity-lifth day of December, (1827,1 eighteen hun
dred and twenly-soven, I (said Samuel Green,) prom
ue to pay Augustin B. Pope (your petitioner,) or heap
