ty, planter, slating that lie was possessed
of a certain deed or title to some negroes, and
personal property, as trustee, for the use of
Mrs. Rebecca Shearer, and her issue, a copy
whereof, as nearly as the petitioner could ic
collect, was annexed tosaid petition, and is now
lodged in the clerk’s office, together with affi
davits j nrsnant to the act of Assembly, has
been lost or destroyed—ar.d praying the bene
fit intended by said acts, and other circumstan
tial proof being laid before Chant—
It it ordered, That the s. id deed, or title of
sale from Matthew Shearer, U. Rebecca Shear
er, his wile, to Moses Way, of .Negroes and
some personal property, be established as di

he gave and convened umo his wife Margaret, his
son John, and his daughter Mary M’DonaM, after
wards Mary C hriftie, and to the survivor or surviv
ors cf them, their heir and afitgns foiever, all his es
tate, real and perform!, whatsoever and svherefoevtr
fituatc, with the tights members and appurtenances to
the said landed, or real estate belonging, and the future
iitue andencreale of the female fiave, and his ftcck of
every kind, bearing date the fitft day of July in the
year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and f.x
tv three, (a copy vs hereof as nearly as the petitioner
could recollect was annexed to the said petition, is now
lodged in the clerk’s cilice together with an affidavit
pnrluant to the laws of force in this fiate in such ca
ies) that the said deed of gift was loft, or deitroyed by
time, accident, or during the revolutionary war; and
praying the benefit intended by the laws of force in
this state, for the pttrpofe of eitabiiihing loft papers, and

It is ordered that the said deed of gift be established
as directed by law, cn the laid Earruck Gibbon’s pub
lishing a weekly n-t;ce in one of our public Gazettes

contrary within the said fix months, or other matter

the city of Savannah, m the slate of Geor
gi:-.. planter, stating a Deetlof Conveyance f.om
John Graham, late of the province of Georgia,
to John Caldwell, late of South-Carolina, for
twelve hundred acres of land, situate in the pre
sent county of Liberty, in the state of Georgia,
known by the name cf Baillic’s neck; bounded
south and southwest on iNorth-Newport river
and land of Robert Nobles, east and northeast
on land of George Nobles and vacant land, and
north and north v, est on vacant land, bearing date
the day of , one thousand seven hun
dred and sixty-four; a copy whereof, as nearly as
the petitioner could recollect, v.as annexed to
said petition, is now lodged in the clerk’s office,
together with an affidavit, pursuant to the acts
of this state, of force in such cases, has been
lost or destroyed ; and praying the benefit in
tended by the aforesaid acts, and other circum
stantial proof being laid before the court: It is
ordered, that the said Deed of Conveyance,
from the said John Graham to John Caldwell,
for the land aforesaid, be established as direct
ed by law, on the said Thomas ’Young publish
ing a weekly notice, in one of our public ga
zettes of this state, for the space of six calen
der months, unless good and sufficient cause
shall be shewn to the coutrary, within the said
six months, or other matter shall appear to the

washer, See. and occasionally has worked in the
field. I expeft that said wench has gone to
Augusta, or was landed at Purisburgh, as I
have reason to apprehend, that she left this
in one of the Augufla boats.
