SLpOP EXPERIMENT,
PQR PJSSE X GEIiS OXL K.
Eiihu S. Bunker,
FI FCS ’cave to ffifo-m 1 is friends and the public, that
) he wi I, on the firft of Ju y, cc mmence running a
iloop, of ‘hoot one hundred and ten tons burthen, be
tween the ci'ies o NKW-YORK and HUDSON, for
the purpole of carrying passesopks.
Few people, who have had occasion to take passage
up or down the Nor i h River, hut have experienced the
inconvenience and rifque of going on board vessels
deeply loaded and lumbered on deck ; ther fore cap
tain liunker has determined to take no freight on bond
the Experiment, which will remedy that inconvenience
and e"tire]y do away the rifque.
The owners of this vtflei, being desirous to render
the palTage as short, convenient and agreeable as pof
fihle have not only taken care to furnilh her with the
bell Jieds, Bedding, 1 iqnors, Piovifioos, Ike. hut they
have been at very great txpenfe and trouble in procur
ing materials and hui dir.g her on the best conftructi. n
for fai rig and for the accommodation of ladies and gen
tlemen travelling on buuuessor for pieafure.
The Kxperitiient will leave New-York every M'ni.
NEsoiv evening precisely at 6 o’clock, and Hidfon
every Si nday morning at 8 o’clock, through the sea
son.
Cantain Bunker having X en several years engaged in
the freighting hufinefs between New-York and Hud
son has become well acquainted with every part of the
river; and he hopes, by attention and putictua'ity, to
m-tit the patronage of ladies and gent'emen from the
southward, who may visit the celebrated Bailston,
Saratoga, and 1 ebanon Springs, or trave cs
who may have occasion to travel through the r.o the'n
states. The fho tnefs of the paff.i eto Hudson, when
compared with that to A bany, or any place above
Hudson. (where the river is impeded by bars, ifla ds
and overflows that render it nipoffible for .'all hilling
v lTels to pass) he thinks wil induce mod peop e who
ate acquainted with the difference, to take palTage to
Hudson, where carriages or b ats can at all times he
had at a moderate expense, to convey them to Albany,
Troy, 1 .anlingbu-gh. or the Lebanon Springs, which
