T TPOX the petition of Thomas Young, of
the cily ot .Savannah, tn the state of Geor
gia, planter, slating a Deed of Conveyance fiom
John Graham, late ot the province of Georgia,
to John Caldwell, late oi Soulh-Carolina, pre
twelve hunched acres of land, situate in the for
sent county of Liberty, hr the state of Georgia,
known by the name of llaillie’s neck; bounded
south and southwest on North-Newport rivei
and land of Kobert Nobles, east and northeast
on land of George Nobles and vacant land, ana
north and northwest on vacant land, bearing date
the——day of , one thousand seven hun
dred and sixty-four; acopy whereof,asnearlyas
the petitioner could recollect, was annexed to
said petition, is now lodged 1:1 the clerk’s office,
together with an affidavit, pursuant to the acts
ol this state, of force in such cases, has been
lost or destroyed ; and praying the benefit in
tended by the aforesaid acts, and other circum
st ntial proof being laid before the court : It is
ordered, that the said Deed of Conveyance,
from the said John Graham to John Caldwell,
for the land aforesaid, be. established as direct
ed by law, on the said ‘l'homas Young publish
ing a weekly notice, in one of our public ga
zettes of this state, for the space of six calen
der months, unless good and sufficient cause
shall he shewn to the contrary, within the said
six months, or other matter shall appear to the
court against the same.

ON the petition of Barrack Gibbons, es the county
of Chatham, in the (late of Georgia, planter, da
ting, that a ceitain deed of gift made and executed by
William M‘Donald, formerly of the parish of Ft.
George, then province,now date of Georgia, by w hich
he gave and convened umo his wife Margaret, his
lon John, and his daughter Mary M'Douald, after
wards M ary Christie, and to the survivor or furviv
ors of them, their heir and afligns forever, all his es
tate, real and pertonal, whatsoever and whereloever
situate, with the rights members and appurtenances to
the (aid landed, or realedate belonging, and theluture
iflue and encteale of the female Oaves, and his (lock of
every kind, bearing date the full day of July in the
year of our lord one thousand leven hundred and six
ty three, (a copy whereof as nearly as the petitioner
could recollect was annexed to the said petition, is now
lodged in the clerk's office together with an affidavit
purluant to the laws ot force in this date in such ca
ses) that the (aid deed of gift was loft, or deflroyed by
time, accident, or during die revolutionary war ; and
praying the benefit intended by the laws of force in
tills date, lor the purpose of edablilhing lod papers,and
otiier circumdantiai proof being laid before the court.
It is ordered that the laid deed of gift be ellablifhed
as diitxted by law, on the laid Barrack Gibbon’s pub
lishing a weekly notice in one of our public Gazettes
of this state, for the (pace of fix Callandar months;

ON the petition of Moses May,of said coun
ty, planter, stating that he was possessed
of a certain deed or title to some negroes, and
personal property, as trustee, for the use of
Mrs. Rebecca Ahearer, and her issue, a copy
whereof, as nearly as the petitioner could le
collect, was annexed tos.uil petition, and is now
lodged in the clerk’s office, together with affi
davits pursuant to the act of \ssembly, has
been lost or destroyed—and praying the bene
fit intended by s.uci acts, and other circumstan
tial proof being laid befoie Court—
It is ordered, That the said deed, or title of
sale from Matthew Shearer, Sc Rebecca Shear
er, his wife, to Moses May, of Negroes and
some personal property, be established as di
rected by law, on the said Moses May’s pub
lishing a w eekly notice in one of the public
gazettes ol this state, for the space of six ca
lendar months, unless good catise shall he
shewn to the contrary within the said six months,
or other matter shall appear to the court a
guinst the same.

Notice is hereby given, that in con.
formity with the provisions of the act
supplementary to the act, intituitd
“ An act making provision for the re*
demption of the whole of the public
debt ol the United States,” books will
be open at the office of the commis
sioner of loans for Georgia, on the first
day of July next, to continue open un
til the seventeenth day of March, 1808,
incisively, the fourteen last days of
each quarter excepted, for the purpose
of receiving subscriptions lor such
parts of the old six per cent, deferred
six per cent, and three per cent, stocks,
as may, on the day of subscription,
stand on the books of the said com
missioner of loans.
Those proprietors of the old six per
cent, ancl deferred stocks, who may
subscribe, will receive in lieu thereof
anew six per cent, stock, equal to the
unredeemed amount of the stock sur
rendered, redeemable at the pleasure
of the United States, under a proviso,
however, that no reimbursement shall
be made except for the whole amount
of any such new certificate of stock,
nor till after six months previous no
tice : and the proprietors of the three
per cent, stock who may subscribe,
will receive in lieu thereof, a six pet
cent stock, equal to sixty-five per cent,
of the amount of three per cent, sur
i rendered, redeemable in the same
j manner as the new six per cent.above
\ mentioned but not reimbursable, how
j ever, without the assent of the holders,
! until after the whole of the new six
per cent, (given in exchange for ole
nix or deferred as above mentioned) as
| veil as the whole of the eight per cent.

been reimbursed. It is also provided,
1 that in every reimbursement which
may take place, a preference will be
given to those creditors w ho may no
tify their wish to be reimbursed; and
that if the applications of that effect
: shall at any time either exceed or fall
short of the sum then applicable to that
purpose, the priority of payment shall,
so far as may be necessary , be detei
mined by; lot.
The present stock-holders who re
side in any part of Europe, and may
assent to that modification, nuy, at
their option, receive the interest accru
ing on the new stock, either in the L
nited States as heretofore, or in Lon
don or Amsterdam, at par; in which
1 last case, the interest will be paid there
; bv the bankers of the United States,
j six months subsequent to the day on
| which the same would be pay able
! in the United States and subject to
’ no variation; nor to any other deduc
| tion than a commission to the bankers,
of one half per cent, on the interest thus
paid.
