of Chatham, in the date of Georgia, planter, da
ting, that a certain deed of gift made arid executed by
William M‘Donald, formerly of the parish of St.
George, then province,now Rate of Georgia, by which
he gave and convened unto his wife Margaret, his
son John, and his daughter Mary M'Dcnald, after
wards Mary Christie, and to the survivor or furviv
ors of them, their heir and assigns forever, all his es
tate, real and perfonai, whatsoever and wheresoever
situate, with the rights members and appurtenances to
the (aid landed, or real estate belonging, and the future
issue andcncreafe of the female slaves, and his ilock ot
every kind, bearing date the fir lb day of July in the
year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and six
ty three, (a lopy whereof as nearly as the petitioner
could recollect was annexed to the fuicl petition, is now
lodged in the clerk’s office together with an affidavit
purluant to the laws of force in this {bate in such ca
ses) that the said deed of gift was loft, or destroyed by
time, accident, or during the revolutionary war ; and
praying the benefit intended by the laws of force in
this ftatc, for the purpose ofeftabliffiing loft papers,and
other circumftantia! proof being laid before the court.
It is ordered that the said deed of gift he eftablifticd
as dire ted by law, on the laid Barrack Gibbon’s pub
lishing a weekly notice in one of our public Gazettes
of this date, for the space of fix Catlandar months;
unless good aid liiflicicnt cause ihal’ be Ihevvn to the
contrary within the laid fix months, or other matter
