Notification.
Whereas by tho act of the Legislature of
Georgia, passed on the sth day of December,
1807, to incorporate the PLANTER’S BANK,
it is directed, “ T hat after the expiration of
six months from the passing of the act, the com
missioners shall, and are required, to return
the subscription books, with all papers apper
taining thereto, within thirty days alter the ex
piration of the said six months, to the commis
sioners in Savannah, together with tic amount
of cash by them received.” And whereas the
time prescribed for the return of the subscrip
tion hooks and all papers appertaining thereto,
together with the cash received by the com
missioners appointed by the said act to recet- e
subscriptions to the stock of the said bank, has
expired; the said commissioners arc hereby
required, without delay, to comply with the
provisions of the said act, and where no shares
ha\e been subscribed for at any of the places
pointed out by the said act for opening books
for subscriptions, to apprize the commissioner's
at bavannah thereof, in order to enable them to
make the necessary call on the directors of
said bank to assemble at .Savannah, and to
a lopt such other measures as the law requires-".

juried in the grave) must acknowledge, that he
was a brave soldier, an incorruptible states
man, and an honest man.

Ist Period —Will detail the revolutionary
services of general Jackson, and, collator-llv,
the services of many patriotic Georgian:., from
1776, to the evacuation of Savannah, in We,2.
2d Period —Will detail his political and ci •
vil pursuits, from 1782 to 1806. This division
of the memoirs will contain a history of tin-
Yazoo Speculation in the state oi Georgia,
from the commencement of the fraud to its sub
version, in 1796 ; and will also cm n-ace the
proceedings of the house of representatives
uid the senate of tlie state of Georgia, and of
the house of representatives of the congress of
the United States, in the )car 1791, on the
celebrated contested election of general Antho
ny Wayne.
T his work w ill lie printed on an octavo page,
and will probably contain 350 or 400 pages.
The price to subscribers, (as the expenses
of publication arc at present estimated) will

at the time of hub; cribing.
