from Meed’s Hotel, to St. Michael’s Church,
where, after divine service, by the Rev; Mr.

pronounced by PaVl S H. Lee, esq. corn-
system of absuid policy I Why, that Georgia,
notwithstanding all her clamors about Yazoo
fraud and villainy, means netbing more than
an opposition to the abstract fraud, and that she 1

engaged tn it. It j 3 reducible to this, u We

were bribed. We know that, to promote your
own interests, you cheated us out of our pro
perty, but we have no objection to try your
honesty again.” Is it unfair to put this lan
guage into the mouths of the citizens of Geor

The Society, at the'usual hour, sat down to
a table spread with the choicest viands, and
enlivened with the finest wines. The follow

accompanied with martial music and the can

5. The Piesident of the United States—
placed in the honorable station - which he holds
at a period most critical, may the combination
of his virtues and talents enable him to disap
point his enemies and gratify the fond wishes
of his friends.

the-r country, they would imitate the conduct
gislation which is dependent upon the Tirtue
and patriotism of such men as Y'azoo-Spccu-
