In Liberty ^County.
rjIHK subscriber offers for sale his two Plantations,
A called Rlcehope and Millhaven. The Rice hope
Plantation contains taro thousand (oar hundred and
firty-llve (244D) acres, one-balf of which la choice
hammock and rice land, the other hail pine land. The
rice land will produce seventy bushels of rice per
•ere; the hammock, from f<wty to fifty bushels of
corn or a bale of sea Island cotton, per acre The
pine land is very productive—will prodace from fifteen
to twenty bushels of corn per aero, or a hair bale of
sea Island cotton, and ia very easy of cultivation.—
Cponttlsa vast quantity of ranging or mill Umber,
within a half mUe to a mile and a half of the Atlantic
£ Gulf Railroad, which passes through the middle of
the tract. This place la situated on Doth aides of the
Gnlf Railroad, thirty-four miles fton the city of 8a-
vanaab, and the wood end timber upon it, which can
be easily transported to the city, will pay what I ask
for It ten times over. The healih of this place, espe
cially the pine land, cannbt be excelled even by the
mountains of Georgia. There are a number of de
sirable settlements upon it, and the tract can be di
vided up into a number of small farms. There are
fourteen hundred acne fenced and about four hundred
cleared and in perfect order for raising a Urge crop
the ensuing year. A good gin-house, corn-house,
overseer's house and negro honsee on the place. The
place U situated eqnl-distant between Hinesvllle and
Wsithourvile, the public road between there two
places passing through It. So well am I satisfied of
us produc Ivensse. that I will sell It lor the products
or one ciop to a purchaser who will oomq under suf
ficient obligation* to cultivate the cleared land prop
erly, or I will sell for money, as hereinafter stated.—
The range for cattle and hogs caunot be excelled in
Georgia nor Florida, as they are fat the year round in
the woods without feeding.
The Millhaven tract contains three thousand one •
hundred and eighteen (3,1 IS) acres pine land. This is
my residence, upon Which I have resided for many
years, and, for health, 1 do not think it can be ex
celled in the world. Upon it are two valuable mill
sites, with an inexhaustible supply af timber upon
never-tailing streams; upon one of which has been a
valuable saw and grist mill for the last sixty-five
years. There are two hundred acres of clearedland,
which is very productive; a fine dwelling house, ne
gro honsee, Ac. With this place I will sell one hun
dred nod twenty-five head of cattle, a number of
horses, mules, hogs, Ac. These lands were selected
by me some yearn ago with a view to permanent lo
cation and Investment. 1 am Induced now to sell for
the reason that my professional engagements are such
that 1 cannot devote my personal attention to the' in
auguration of a free labor system, and for the ihrther
reason that I believe that this system will thrive bet-
ter in the hands of Northern men, as our former slaves
are either tanght to beHeve, or Inherently inclined to
look upon their old masters as their natural enemies.
I will sell as above stated, or for caali, or a portion
of the purchase money lo be paid in one, two and
three'years. .... ■ ,
The titles are Indisputable. Plata ate Ml with Bell,

1 invite all purchasers to look at these lauds, and
if they don't suit them, then I think they must be fas
tidious indeed. WM. B. GAULDKN.
