FT111E 8ub»cribcr liusibu plenimre of annotme-
X ing to tho citizens of the United Stale*, that
he baa purchaMed, lor a very largo mi m and from
the inventor, the celebrated Dr. Magnin, of Peris,
tho recipe and right for milking tlna Mtoninhing
medicine. Until the appearance of the "Luciiiu
Cordial,” (about three yearn since) it was thought
that die comnhunts which it speedily overcomes,
were beyond die reach of human remedy, as for
upwards of a thousand yours, Uiey Imd baffled tho
wisdom and ingeuuiiy of die most profound phy
sicians in all pans of iho world. This Cordial,
however, to U>o great advantage of tho liuinsn
race, soon proved itself to be tho desideratum so
long Miiight for; and accordingly, notwithstanding
tho oriel period of its existence, it lias acquired u
celebrity so great, Uiut it is eagerly sought for
throughout die civilized globe. Dr. Magnin soon
finding dial the dernund was so vast as to render
die recipe and
Df secrecy, for
, nnd odier coun
tries, only preserving France and Italy for himself.
Thus lm« the subscriber possesed himself of die
invaluable secret, and now liasteus to give die in-
huijiUuiin of his iine of agency the benefits of his
speculation.
“Le Cordial de Lucille,” or, in English, “the
Luciuu Cordial,” is a general invigoratorof the hu
man frame. In nil the vurioiis cases of inuguor,
lassitude nnd debilitation, it is an unfailing reme
dy, as it is equally its province to impart cheer
fulness and decision to the tnind, as health und vi
gor to die l>ody. But the peculiar virtue ou which
its celebrity is bused, is die facility und certainty
with which it res.ores thu virilepowers wheutbey
have been destroyed by disease, time, reckless-
nev.or any of the numerous cutises which termi
nate in the prostration of those functions.
In common with die generality of really good
medicines, this Cordial contains noUtiug of u mer
curial or deleterious nature, among die many in
gredients which compose it; but is, at the surne
time, so simple, yet so efficacious, that while it cun
renovute die prostrated energies of u giunt, an in
fant may use it, not only with impunity, but with
advantage.
T
dial, t
sure to result from it, we cannot enter into uu an
alysis of this inestimable Cordial hero, or publish
many of the documents which huve bccu receiv
ed, as vouchers of die blessings it bus conferred on
numbers of despniriug individuals. But Utis we
cannot forbeur remarking—that it has been de
monstrated that there is scarcely ever, if uny such
tiling at nil, ns natural barrcuuess, or as natural
imbecility of the pi oereimt functions in either sex;
and, therefore, that those evils are the effects of
artificial causes, and maybe speedily subdned and
removed by the use of “Le Cordial de Lucine.”
The Lucina Cordial is ulso an indubitable cure
for the Gleet, and die Fluor Albas, obstructed,
difficult or painful Menstntution; ulso, for die
incontinence of Urine or die involuntary dis
charge thereof. It is likewise on invaluable and
unr.vulled medicine in cases of Chronic Errup-
tions of the skin, and in die dropsical affc.ctioui
of tho nged.
Most important to the American Public.
The United States proprietor of tho celebrated
Lucina C’ordiul, or Elixir of Love, begs to luy be*
fore the community, the following certificate,
which ho hue received from the inventor, die illus
trious Dr. Mugnin, of Puris:
“This is to certify, that I have disposed of the
recipe for making die Lucina Cordial, or Elixir of
Love, and ulso die right to sell it throughout tiie
United States of North America, to John Winters
Holderwell,M. D. My reasons for eo doing is,
tliut die demands to me for the ubove Cordial, of
which I am die inventor, are so numerous, dint I
urn unable to supply ull the orders froiiiFruqcennd
Italy alone; and have therefore disposed of the
privileges vouchsafed in this and other certificates
of alike nature, in order to generalise the benefits,
of iny discovery throughout the world.
Given under my hand at Puris, on this nineteenth
