Rowiind’s Tonic Mixture* -
M il. EDITOR—Much as the powers of this
• favorite remedy have beeu extolled, I can
not omit this opportunity of declaring my decided
conviction that every account of the sanativo vir
tues of the Mixture will be verified to tiie full ex
tent/ Whatever be the character ofthe complaint
—whether unequal tertian—double or simple
quartan—however vuried be' its type, attended
with syncope, apoplexy, - vehemeut spasrne, with
coldness and stupor—^whatever its duration, whe
ther vernal or autumnal, laying the foundation for
visceral affections, nnd other slow but uucrringly
tlual maladies—however irregular in their inva
sion, and uncommon in their appearances—in
fine, whatever ho tlie ngoj idiosyncrasy, or habits
of the patient* the complaint ulike bids adieu on
the due administration ofthe Tonic Mixture.—
This is no high-wrought panegyric for the exper
iment. , I speak only from what I positively know
—however successful other preparations may
have been, there can be little reliance placed upon
them when compared with this article. By strict:
ly following the directions that accompany ‘the
Bottle, wo find it acts upon the most scientific
principle—for, it seems to anticipate the return
of tlie cold fit, and excites a. strong reaction, and
powerful glow over the wnoje system; and thus
to pre-occuny the ground, aud by disturbing the
regularity ofthe type, to subdue tiie iiiterinfttcnt
altogether. Under such a course of medicine. I
.have been astonished to notice with what haste
tlie disease beats alarm for a retreat, and tlie pros
trated strength of tlie system rallies. It is a pow
erful, yet mild medicine—substituting cnlmnossf
tranquillity,and balmy sleep,in place of palh.wea-
riness, and restless nights—a reuovation of long-
lost strength nnd robust health, in lien of feeble
ness and emaciation. And I confidently believe,
und I prediente my. qniuion uppn the most sub
stantial proof, that linae* whatever sky—in what
ever comer of the'earth—whether upon hill or
valley, wherever fever and ague makes its appear
ance. there also will “Ilowiind’s Tonic Mixture”
find its way—the happy desideratum, the perfect
antidote. N. LEE,'MV D.
IKrDne of the best recommendations 'that can
he given this, medicine is thb following:—Physi
cians livinjrin Fever and Aguo districts, who have
become acmiu'mted with its efficacy, are in tlie
habit of ordering it to be used iu their own prac
tice
From the Harrisburg Intelligencer of June, 1833.
Mr. Wyeth—Having long been afflicted iuiniy
family with Fever und Ague, andjiavinglried,ev-
ery means to got rid of it without avail, I at length
met with your advertisement ofRownnd’s genu
ine Tonic Mixture, which I determined to, try.
After using it,' my v/ifa was entirely restored to
health, having suffered for fifteen months from the
debilitating effects of Fever and Ague, oik} Is now
as hearty aud stout as she ever was.
