OBITUARY.
Died, on Monday last, near Thunderbolt, in
Chatham County, Sylvester Hayford, a na
tive of New-York, aged 63 years.
The deceased was 30 years in service. He'
fought tinder Gen. Harrison, and was recently
at th6%attle of Newnsnsville, (E. F.) under the
command of Capt. Tompkins.
