A Certain Cure for Sick Head-
Ache.
W HICH has been used in families, every
member of which has had sick headache
from infancy,as a constitutional family complaint,
and has cured effectually in every instance yet
known, amounting to many hundreds. It is not
unpleasant to the taste, and does not prevent the
daily avocations of one using it: it must be perse
vered in. and the cure is gradual, but Certain and
lermnnent. Instances are constantly multiply-
ng where this distressing complaint incomplete
ly relieved nnd cured^ although of years standing,
* the use of Dr. Spohn’s celebrated remedy.
io decided preference is its pleasantness, hav
ing none of the nauseating effects of common
drugs.
In all dyspeptic symtoms, costiyeness, irregu
larity, distress after menls, pains in the side nnd
torpidity of the liver, the cure is perfect, and any
one so afflicted will become immediately convin
ced on using it, that helms at test found a ‘‘sover
eign balm forhis wounds." Females are particu
larly recommended to use it for costiveness or Ir
regularity, and other female complaints. It is
iroved to correct vitiated nnd disordered humors
reeping the stomach in most perfect order. Those
persons who after an evenings indulgence at par
ties, Ac. have. headache and dullness the next
day, will find this a sure preventive if taken at
bed time. For all common complaints, in a few
days its virtues will be self-evident, and a complete
cure will soon be effected. When a person has
n cold nnd feels unwell, generally a free use ofit
for a fow days will He sure to relieve without
physic or pills. To children it may be giveu with
the greatest advantage.
In all acidity or sourness of stomach this remedy
is sovereign and invaluable; as a general family
medicine it is now adopted by many of the most
respectable familes. It never sickens the stomach
or produces any of the unpleasant effects ofphysic.

I S highly benaficial in all diseases of tho stom
ach nnd bowel* which arc attended with acid
ity, and gives immediate relief to tho ^pnriburn.
The effects of excess in eating or drinking are
generally relieved by it. nnd it affords one of the
mildest and most peasant aperients, especially
to persons who, from a sedentary life or other
causes, are under the frequent necessity of ha v
ing recourse to laxatives. To persons ofa bil
ious or a gouty habit, it may be recommended
with peculiar propriety; and its virtues have been
repeatedly testified in the diseases of worm cli
mates Many of the complaints of children, in
early infancy, and even at more advanced peri
ods, are attended with acidity; and in such coses,
the Calcined Magnesia has n great advantage
over other absorbents, viz: that it both neutrali
zes the acid in the alimentary canal, and acta as
on efficacious yet gentle purgative.

ters, Ringworms, uud herpetic eruptions gener
ally, are among the most tedious and disngreenhle
a flections to which the human frame fo liable.
Situated as it were, on the verge of vitality it is
almost impossible to reach them by inward reme
dies. Hence the inefficacy of undergoing a course
of medicine, or subjecting ourselves to the un
comfortable system of strict diet: such means by
reducing the system merely palliate the symptoms
white they are in prnctice, to recur as violently,
or more so, when a generous diet is returned to.
And the generality of exteruul npplicationshnve
no other efleot than the diseuse in one place, soon
to show itseifin the same oranotber part. When
all those means have failed, and in many severe
cases, a perservance for ashort time in the use of
the Rose Ointment hns proved effectual. There

ItoWanti’s Tonic Mixture* or
Vegetable Febrifuge,
A specific nnd lasting cure for Fever and Ague.
fTIHIS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
JL of being nquar.k medicine, it having been
the result of manv yoars study, experience and
labor, in the medical practice nnd observation of
Fever and Ague. It is composed of such medi
cinal principles ns were considered most fit to re
store theharmony ofaction between the stomach,
liver, and the other important functions of the
system, the loss of which harmony is evidently the
immediate cause of the disease. It speedily pro
motes a regular and healthy appetite which is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered very
precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strength is
soon afforded te the whole system. It must be
apparent to nil. that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtue*, is useful in a great variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy action of
the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re
markable benefit in dyspepsia, doprai*ed appetite,
henrt-burn, water brash, flatulency, jaundice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complain;#, and
all other affections of similar origin, but it is in
the treatment of Fevers, and especially in Fever
and Ague, or Romittont Fever, that its powers
have been principally tested, and with those who
havo seen its usefulness, it is pronounced sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those diseases. It,has also been used as a pre
ventive, by mnny who were subject to a periodi
cal recurrence of the chills and fever, and it has
always warded off the apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to nccompany the
vegetable febrifuge with n few of tho many une
quivocal certificates politely furnished to the pro
prietor,corroborative ofthe foregoing statements.
For further accounts of its great usefulness, see
pamphlets accompanyingeachbottle.
