A Certain Cure for Sick Head-
Aclic.
W HICH has been used in families, every
member of which has had sick headache
from infancy,as n constitutional family complaint,
and Ims cured effectually in every instance yet
known, amounting to many hmidreds. It is not
iinulcnsant to the taste, nnd does not prevent tile
daily avocations of one using iti it must be perse
vered in, and the euro is gradual, but certain nnd
lermaneni. Instances are constantly multiply-
ng where this distressing complaint ibcomplete
ly relieved nnd cured, although of years standing,
‘f tho use of Dr. Spobn’s celebrated remedy,
jne decided preference is its pleasantness, hav
ing no no of tbe nauseating effects of common
drags.
In nil dyspeptic nymtoms, costiycne c s, irregu
larity; distress after meals, pains in the side and
torpidity of the liver, tho cure is perfect, and any
one so afflicted will become immediately convin
ced on using it, that ho ha* at last found a ’‘sover-
«ign balm for his wound*.". Females are particu
larly recommended to use it for costiveness or Ir-
regulnrity, and other female complaints. It is
roved to correct vilinted nud di«orde/cd humors
eeping tho stomach in most perfect order. Those
persons who after an evenings indulgence at par
ties, Arc. have headache and dullners the next
day, will find this a sure preventive if taken nt
bed time. For all common complaints, in a few
days its virtues will be self-evident, and a complete
cure will soon be effected. When a person has
a cold and feels unwell, generally a free use of it
for a few days will he sure to reliovo without
physic or pills. To children it may be given with
the greatest advantage.
In all acidity or sourness of stomach this remedy
is sovereign nnd invaluable; ns a general family
medicine it is now adopted hy ninny of the most
respectable familes. Ituever sickens the stomach
or produces any ofthn unpleasant effects ofphysic.

Rowand’s Tonic Mixture, or
Vegetable Febrifuge,
A-specific and lasting cure for Fever nnd Ague.
miHS worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
JL of being a quack medicine, it haying been
the result of inonv years study, experience and
labor, in the medical practice nud observation of
Fever and Acne. It is composed of such medi
cinal principles us were considered most fit to re
store theharmonv of notion between the stomneh,
liver, and the other important fsinctions ot the
system, the lossofo’liich hnrniony is evidently the
, immediate cause of tho disenso. It speedily pro
motes n regular and healthy appetite which is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered very
precarious; by which effect, vigor and strength is
soon afforded to the whole system. It must be
apparentto all. that a medicine posseting these
peculiar virtues, is useful in a great variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy action of
the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re
markable benefit in dyspepsia, depraved appetite,
heart-burn, water brash, flatulency, jaundice,
night sweats, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
all other affections of similar origin, but it is ill
the treatment of Fevers, and especially m rever
and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that its powers
. have beenprincipufly tested, stud with those who
have seen its usefulness, it is prononneed sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those diseases. It has also been used as a pre
ventive, by many who were subject to a periodi
cal recurrence of tbe chills nnd fever, and it has
always warded off the apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to accompany the
vegetable febrifuge with n few of tho many une
quivocal certificates politely ftmtished to the pro*
priotor.corrpborntive ofthe foregoing statements,
'or further accounts of its great usefulness, see
