I S highly beneficial in all diseases of the stom

ity, nnd gives immediate relief to the heartburn.
The effects of excess in eating or drinking are

mildest and most pfeasant aperients, especially
to persona who, from a sedentary life or other
causes, are under the frequent necessity of hav

with peculiar propriety: and its virtue* have been
repeatedly testified in tho diseases of warm cli
mates Many of the complaints of children, in
early infancy, nnd even nt more advanced peri

the Calcined Magnesia has a great advantage
over other absorbents, viz: that it both neutrali
zes the acid in the nlimiyitary canal, and arts as
an efficacious yet gentle purgative.

Do wand's Tonic Mixltirc, or
Vegetable Febrifuge,
A specific nnd lasting euro for Fever and Ague.
T 111S worthy remedy earnestly repels the slur
of being a quack mwlicilie, it having been
the result of many years study, experience and
labor, in the medical practice nnd observation of
Fever nnd Acne. It is composed of such medi
cinal principles as were considered most fit to re
store the harmony ofuction between tho stomach,
liver, and the other important functions of the
system, the toss of which harmony is evidently tho
immediate cause of the disease. It speedily pro-
motes a regular nnd healthy appetito which is
generally entirely destroyed or rendered very
precarious; by which effect, vigor nnd strength is
soon afforded to the whole system. It must be
apparent to all. that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in n grout variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy notion of
the digestive organs, it.has proved itself of re
markable benefit iu dyspepsia, depraved appetito,
heart-bum, water brash, flatulency, jaundice,
night’swents, dysentery, bowel complaints, and
all other affections of similar origin, but it is in
the treatment of Fever*, nnd especially In Fever
and Ague, or Remittent Fever, that its powers
have been principally tested, and with those who
have seen its useftilness, it is pronounced sover
eign to all remedies heretofore discovered fo
those diseases. It has also been used ns u pre
ventive, by nm'nv who were subject to n periodi
cal recurrence of tho chills and fever, and it has
always warded off the apprehended attack. It
was deemed not improper to accompany tho
vegetable febrifuge with n few of the many une
quivocal certificates politely Airnisbcd to the pro
prietor .corroborative of the foregoing natements.
For further accounts of its great usefulness, seo

Tliis is the reason why so many experiments
