ing n Bridge over tho Oconee River, for the
Centrnl'Rai! Road, nnd also for erecting about
4000 feel in length of truss work in tho river
swamp.
Tiic site nftlie Bridge is about 18 miles below
Alilledgeville; it is to be of lattice work, with two
snnns of 125 feet each, nnd supported by two
nuutmctits and one pier of masonry, ut nu elnvu-
tion of about 22 feet above low water mark. The
amount ofstouo and lumber required, will be a-
bout 500 perches ofthc former, and uboutll2,-
000 feet of the latter.
The truss work will bo supported by piles, at
a mean elevation of about 18 feet above the
swamp, aud will require 500,000 feet BM of tim
ber, exclusive of piles.
Plans nnd specifications of tho work mny bo
seen, nnd all necessary explanations will be giv
en, on application to the undersigned nt this of
fice. Application may also ho made ntthe Com
pany’s office nt Macon, from the 10th to the 15th
of September, and from the 10th to the 15th of
October.
Mr. F. P. Holcomb, assistant engineer, now
engaged in locating the line west of the Oconeo,
ifapplied to, will point out the site oftho work,
and will give nny Information touching its local-
ity-.
Bids will bo received for either the masonry,
the superstructure of the bridge, or tho truss
