P ROPOSALS will be received by the subscri
ber until the 20th of October next, for build
ing a Bridge over the Oconee River, for the
Central Rail llond, and also for creeling about
4000 feet in length of truss work in the river
swamp.
The -ite of the Bridge is about 18 miles below
MiSledgciille; it is to be of lattice work, with two
spans of 125 feet cnch, nnd supported by two
abutments nnd one pier of masonry, ut nn ’eleva
tion of about 22 feet abovo low water mark. The
amount ofstone and lumber required, will he a-
bout 500 perches of the former, dtid about 112,-
000 feet of tiie latter.
The truss work will be supported by piles, at
a mean elevation of about 18 feet above the
swamp, nud will require 500,000 feet DM of tim
ber. exclusive of piles.
Plans nnd specifications of the work may bo
seen, and all necessarj explanations will be giv
en, on application to the uitdcrsienod at this of
fice. Application any also be made ut the Com
pany's office ulMacon, from-the 10th to th** loth
of September, and from the lOlli to thu 15th of
