T HE unprecedented popularity of this benefi

nited Suites, line induced one or more unprinci
pled persons to munufucturo spurious catchpenny
articles, under various names, and purporting to
produce the same effect; but which, in reality, pro-
duen no other effect than that of swindling the
public; nnd to give a yet more plausible appear
ance of their cupidity, thobo persons affect that
their wretched nostrums linvo been in uso in
England and elsewhere fora number of years:
whereas, until the illustrious Dr. Mncnin made
his wonderful discovery, no cure for barrenness
had been ever thought of, or at least made pub
lic ; and ull thoso then in use for the restoration
oftho decayed virile powers were found to be of
but little avail. Thus, all nostrums advertised
for barrenness or the cure of impotency, but Dr.
Mugnin's are mero catchpenny humbugs, which
would never have been thought of but for the ap
pearance aud grent celebrity of tho LUCINA
CORDIAL. As no counterfeit of the name is
at present in circulation, it may in general be a
Htiniciont caution for the purchaser to usk for the
Lucina Cordial, but os further assurauco.it would
be as well to note that its name, Lucina Cordial,
or Elixir of Love, is stamped in the glass of each
bottle—the combined arms of Franco nnd the U-
nited States are on tho outward envelope—that
a Fleur da Lis is printed oil the accompanying
directions, and beautifully embossed outlie snow
bills hanging in the stores of those who havo the
genuine article for sale.
The celebrity of the Lucina Cordial being such
as it is, it is scarcely necessary to add that it is the

Miiledgeville; it is to be of lattice work, with two
spans of 125 fuiiv each, and supported by two
anutmeut* nnd one pier of masonry, at an eleva
tion of about 22 feet nbove low water ninrk- The
amount ofstono and lumber required, will be a-
bout 500 perches oftlie former, und about 112,-
000 feet of the tatter.
The truss work will be supported by piles, at
a mean elevation of about 18 feet nbovo the
swamp, and will require 500,000 foot BM of tim
ber, exclusive of piles.
