Sweet Harp ! renew those Heav’nly notes
‘Chat oft’ l’ve heard with rapture swelling
Call Music!;’s soul,—if still it floats
As erst it did around my dwelling.
And as thv sounds of magic flow,
V. ith sorrow ting'd-or bright with glauness,-
\! v heart with sympathy shall glow
And echo notes of joy or sadness.
lint hark! he hush’d that strain of wildness
Son e gentle breeze thy strings must borrow;-
Civc passion o’er-or sing with mildness
The mingled tones of joy and sorrow.
’Tis lleav'ns own sigh now lingering there,
As if to shew each passions folly
1 lie ecstatic strain has no compare
The blissful “train of inelancKolly.
Sweet Harp, farewell 1 thy trembling chords
In truth’s own voice pay fate have poken ;
N ,r musick’s self.-r.or earth’s affords
The halm to heal the heart that’s broken .
For O ! my every hope hath fled,
Fled, to return and cheer me never! —
Hopes that like watery’ circles spread-
Spread ’till thy broke—and broke forever 1
T reck not how thy mystic thread
Os foeliiljf was confus'd;~T only
Know ‘twill never be unraveled, —
And that my 1 - art is sad and lonely.
’ Sweet Harp;fare\vell! thy trembling chords
In truth’s own voice my fate have spoken
Nor musick’s self nor earth afford*
The balm to heal the heart that’s broke".!

Those who may be in arrears to us, and are
