cers and sores. It is good for the mumps, sore
i hroat, the hooping cough, the piles, and any
kind of pain or ache.
When mercury has been used and by reason
of a cold becomes fixed (as it commonly does) |
in the joints, by which means a joint swells, is I
stiff and painful, by apply ing the Anti-Rheuina-!
tic Salve, one may expect to be relieved in a!

To establish a tribunal to enquire into the qtiali- !

{ Whereas, it appears by a memorial or the;

Georgia Medical Society stabhslied in the city ,
of Savannah, shall he invested with and pos-1
essed if full power and atr'-borify to examine,!

certificates of qualification to him, her. or them,
if, ill their judgments, he, she, orthey shall be
found duly learned and qualified, to practice in
tiie said arts of surgery, medicine, and midwife
ry, or .in any Iwo or one of them: And provided
also, that in their examination the said society
shall be restricted and confined tb the investiga
tion of professional attainments ami capacity
alone, without regard td am former or present
professional or moral repnta’ion, and sbaii m l at
any time require as a test of qualification, oi any |
degree of evidence thereof, that any ajiplicaiu I
should have obtained a diploma from any Radi
cal college or university, or should have studied
thereat, or elsewhere;.
§ 2 And he it further enacted by the authori
ty aforesaid, That if, after application shall have
bee” made, agreeably to the provisions of this
act. the I’reSident of said society, or other per
son or per oils, performing his duties, in- there
being no such person or persons, if the secreta
r of said society shall refuse, or shall delay till
after the time heretofore prescribed to issue
summons for convening tiie members, or and he

ham, upon the petition of trie party injured,
retting forth any such failure or violation anil
supported by his affidavit of the t ruth of such peti
tion, to grant as a matter of right, a writ of Mire
facias, directed to the president and members
of said society requiring them to shew cause
at the next term of : lie said court, why their
charter or act of incorporation should not he
deemed forfeited. A copy of this and of lb,e
I petition shall lie served upon the, president or
1 seerttarv, and if the allegations be denied, an
issue shall be joined, and the tacts be tried, by
a jury empaimelledand sworn as in other cases.
If tiie allegatiunsof the petition be found to lie
true, or if they be admitted, and no good cause
be shewn for the former failure or violation, it
shu 1 be (he dn'y of tlte court, upon application
of the party injured, to appoint a day not more
remote than ten days, on which the society shall
convene, and conform in every tiling to the re
quirements of this act, and to the order for this
purpose no return shall be received from said
society but one of absolute complian-'e under
oath of the President or Secretary; which te
1 tui n snail be filed in the clerk’s office within 5
days after tiie appointed day. On failure to
1 make such return, the Judge of said court shall,
;in vacation, award a judgment of forfeiture
j of the charter, upon application as aforesaid; and
j execution shall issue for costs as aforesaid.
